ClaudeScope Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 15, 2026

Overview

ClaudeScope is a utility app that helps you monitor your Claude AI usage. It runs on iOS, macOS, and Android, and this policy applies to all three. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what the app and its bundled SDKs do with your data.

Data We Collect

Authentication Credentials: When you sign in, your OAuth access token and refresh token are stored locally on your device (Keychain on Apple platforms, EncryptedSharedPreferences + Android Keystore on Android). These credentials are transmitted only to Anthropic's official API endpoints (api.anthropic.com and platform.claude.com).

Usage Data: Your Claude usage statistics (utilization percentages, reset times, per-model breakdown) are fetched from Anthropic's API and stored locally on your device for history charting. They are not transmitted to any party other than Anthropic.

Analytics Data (via bundled SDKs): The app links AppsFlyer and the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure install attribution and in-app engagement. The data categories these SDKs receive are listed in the next section.

Third-Party Services and What They Receive

Service Purpose Data categories sent Retention
Anthropic API Fetch Claude usage metrics Your OAuth access token (sent as Bearer auth). No device identifiers added by us. Governed by Anthropic
AppsFlyer Install attribution and anonymous in-app event analytics Google Advertising ID / IDFA, IP address (coarse geo), device model and OS version, install/session timestamps, in-app event names (e.g. tab_selected, usage_fetched) and their integer parameters ~90 days for raw logs, ~24 months for aggregated, per AppsFlyer policy
Meta (Facebook SDK) Install attribution for Meta ad channels Google Advertising ID / IDFA, IP address, device model and OS version, Meta attribution IDs, install/session timestamps, app_activated-style events Governed by Meta

Neither SDK receives your Claude account email, OAuth tokens, conversation content, or device-specific usage metrics.

Data We Do NOT Collect

Permissions Requested (Android)

Permission Why we need it
INTERNETOAuth sign-in, Anthropic API calls, SDK network traffic
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATEAppsFlyer / Meta SDK connectivity detection
POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+)Fire local usage-threshold alerts — requested at runtime only when you enable alerts in Settings
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_IDLet AppsFlyer / Meta SDKs read the Google Advertising ID for install attribution

Your Choices and Opt-Outs

Sign out: Settings → Sign Out removes your OAuth tokens and on-device usage history.

Uninstall: Removing the app deletes all on-device data it kept.

Android advertising ID: You can reset or delete your Google Advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads. After deletion, AppsFlyer and Meta can no longer correlate your install with future events from the same device.

iOS tracking: On iOS we honour Apple's App Tracking Transparency — if you declined the tracking prompt (or the app did not request it), the IDFA sent to AppsFlyer / Meta is zeroed out.

Data Storage

All user data (credentials, usage history, preferences) is stored in the app's sandboxed local storage on your device. We do not operate a server to store user data.

Children's Privacy

ClaudeScope is a developer productivity tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Regional Rights

EU / UK (GDPR): Analytics data is processed under legitimate-interest for measuring app performance. You can object by resetting or deleting your advertising ID, or by uninstalling the app.

California (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell personal information. AppsFlyer and Meta may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising purposes — you can opt out by the advertising ID controls above.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes (e.g., a new SDK, a new data category) will also be called out in the next app release notes.
